Linda began her professional training at Brigham Young University where she received a BS in Psychology and then at the University of Utah where she graduated with honors with a Masters in Social Work. Linda uses many different therapeutic modalities tailored to her clients needs including EMDR, EFT, play therapy, art therapy and CBT-TF and specializes in treating trauma, relationships and attachment.

Linda has over 26 years experience of working with children and families in many different capacities including adoption and foster care. She works with individuals, couples and groups. Linda has experienced many unexpected life transitions herself that have created an emphatic heart and mind for people who are struggling.

On a personal level, Linda is a mother of three amazing children and a grandmother.  Linda has experienced the challenges of divorce both as a child and also an adult. In her spare time, Linda loves to garden, hiking, dance classes especially Zumba and recently discovered white water rafting. Linda has great empathy for those who have infertility issues and feels blessed to have both biological children and an adopted child. Linda understands the dynamics of blended families and will offer her unique perspective when navigating family systems.

Carly is a wife, mother, step-mother, and reading enthusiast. She has been working in the social work field since 2010. She has extensive experience with childhood trauma including physical and sexual abuse. Carly was employed with the Division of Child & Family Services for several years and then moved to the Utah County Children’s Justice Center.

Therapy is all about improving oneself through connection. Treatment for each client is tailored to their wants, needs, and aspirations. Her clients vary in terms of developmental stage, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and nationality. Client concerns include adjustment difficulties and normative life stress to severe mental illnesses. Carly is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help in the reprocessing of maladaptively stored memories. She often utilizes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Solution focused therapy.

Suelen earned her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Social Work and her master’s degree in Social Work from Utah Valley University. Suelen is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and continues with her education to polish her clinical skills. Prior to joining Counseling Made Simple, Suelen worked for over seven years as a Victim Advocate with a local law enforcement agency assisting victims of crime to have a voice in the courtroom and help them navigate the legal justice system. She has also worked at the local domestic violence shelter assisting women and children seeking resources and at The Younique Foundation (now Saprea) as a clinical therapist providing services to survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Suelen finds her passion in empowering clients by helping them find their inner strength and bring healing to those who have been through a traumatic or stressful experience. She specializes in complex trauma and is currently working on obtaining a complex trauma and dissociation certification. During her spare time, Suelen enjoys spending time with family, spending time with her three dogs, traveling and volunteering for a dog rescue.

Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Psychology from Utah Valley University and her Master of Social Work from University of Utah.  Stephanie began her social work career in 2007 and has worked within child and family services, substance use treatment, and medical social work settings.

Stephanie has experience in working with individuals who have struggled with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, abuse, substance use, issues of self-worth, aging, grief and loss. Stephanie takes an empathetic, client-centered approach to therapy.  Stephanie is trained in many different therapeutic modalities and is able to tailor treatment to the clients’ needs.  She will often utilize EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.

Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, exploring new places with her two dogs, and traveling.
